Erik is a first-generation Norwegian American, and actually not Irish at all. Born and raised on the East Coast, his voice acting career started as an FM DJ spinning vinyl for WHJY in Providence, RI. He left New England in 1984 to get a BA in Acting & Set Design from the University of Oregon, but he's called the mountains of Northern California home for the past 20 years.
A son of a son of a sailor, Erik is half Viking and half Jimmy Buffet. From 1990 to 1992, he sailed a 29-foot boat from San Francisco to Key West.
Erik is that guy who ran away to a cabin in the woods. He lives off the grid by a swimming hole on a creek, 15 miles down a dirt road, with his fiance Joe, his good dog Bodhi, and a black cat named Ninja.
His passion is telling stories. In the yurt next door, he has a professional sound studio with a Whisper Room Booth, Sennheiser MKH 416, Logic, RX7 and Source Connect via satellite internet. An accomplished audio & video editor/producer, he can deliver finished files or patch into studios across the globe. Every week he records a new episode of a podcast, Listen To Sleep, that puts thousands of wonderful people to sleep. On purpose.
